Responsibilities:

Grounding system design, emergency power systems, lighting calculations, voltage drop calculations, cable sizing and voltage drop.
• AutoCAD and Revit: Create detailed electrical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit, and seamlessly integrate electrical systems into overall building designs.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and career-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team.
As a vital member of our MEP design team, you will work directly with the Mechanical Department Manager, Project Managers, Clients and Architects throughout the project life cycle to produce high quality, efficient and reliable HVAC mechanical design documents for Healthcare, Higher Education, Corporate, Commercial, infrastructure and Laboratory projects.

Responsibilities:

• Performs Mechanical Engineering design duties for development of the design of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, fire protection and plumbing systems for small-mid and large scale projects
• Regularly perform load calculations and develop systems concepts
• Preparation of bid drawings and specifications
• Develop cost estimates, review contractors’ submittals, and prepare site observation reports.
  Sustainable Design: Apply principles of sustainability to the design and analysis of MEP systems, contributing to LEED-certified projects and energy-efficient solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC systems design
• Previous experience in AEC industry; Healthcare or Higher Education projects preferred
• EIT, FE completion is preferred; ability to attain PE desired
• Software Proficiency:  AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge of building codes; ie. OBBC, NFPA, ASHRAE
• Ability to solve problems and collaborate in a team-oriented environment exercising interpersonal skills and technical knowledge
• Capacity to budget own time and work efficiently, both independently and as part of a project team.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously.
• Apply skills and effective communication to proactively identify and resolve issues in a deadline oriented environment.
