Senior Technology Designer

Description:

Lead technology design (including voice, data, wireless, CATV/CCTV, DAS, Security and AV) through the project life cycle to produce high quality, efficient and reliable electrical system designs that respond to the needs of our clients in the healthcare, corporate, higher education, and retail markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead technology design to include; system calculations, equipment selection and layouts, project drawings and specifications, construction cost estimates, site visits, coordination and construction administration.
  • Act as primary focal point to clients and direct activities of technical staff designers and drafters) from project award through completion.
  • Demonstrate a proactive and collaborative approach with project team members, architects and others as appropriate to meet the client’s performance, schedule and financial goals.
  • Manage technology designers and drafters workload and coordination of project schedules.
  • Quality control of assigned projects and serve as QA/QC reviewer on projects designed by others.
  • Assist in the development of presentation material and participate in project interviews.

Requirements:

  • BICSI RCDD certified (minimum)
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with 3 years in team and project management capacity.
  • Highly motivated and organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong technical skills with ability to develop and clearly communicate concepts and ideas.
  • Develop objectives to increase business with select clients, including owners, architects, developers and contractors.
  • Ability to mentor staff on a project basis and assure continued advancement of staff from project to project.

Technology Designer

Description:

Work directly with senior and project engineers/designers through the project life cycle to produce high quality, efficient and reliable system designs that respond to the needs of our clients in the healthcare, corporate, higher education and retail markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead technology design (telecommunication, audio-visual and security systems) to include; system calculations, equipment selection and layouts, project drawings and specifications and construction cost estimates.
  • Coordination of system designs and equipment with other engineering disciplines.
  • Support production through the preparation of drawings from redline mark-ups and design sketches.
  • Perform construction related services such as shop drawing review, respond to requests for information (RFIs) and construction observation.
  • Quality control of assigned projects.

Requirements:

  • BICSI RCDD certified or possess verifiable prerequisite requirements to apply for the BICSI RCDD examination.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the AEC industry.
  • Highly motivated with ability to budget own time and work efficiently, both independently and as part of a project team.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously.

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Description:

Work directly with project managers and clients throughout the project life cycle to produce high quality, efficient and reliable mechanical design documents for corporate, higher education, healthcare projects.

Responsibilities:

Performs engineering duties in development of the design of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, fire protection and plumbing systems for various types of construction projects.

This will include load calculations, development of systems concepts, preparation of bid drawings and specifications and development of cost estimates. The candidate will also review contractor’s submittals and prepare site observation reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • P.E. license (preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the design HVAC systems for healthcare and/or higher education projects
  • Good mechanical skills and aptitude with the ability to solve problems.
  • Strong working proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
