Recently, our staff met with Pack 365 out of Worthington Estates, led by Den Leaders Josh Lloyd and Donnell Thompson, to discuss engineering and what engineers do. We showed the Scouts BIM models of recent projects, taught them how to help at home with engineering projects (such as changing filters in their furnace and replacing the batteries in smoke detectors), and also built gumdrop and toothpick bridges together.
On December 2, several employees, along with their families and friends, ran on the HAWA4CAP team for this year’s Jingle Bell Run in honor of retiring Executive VP Chris Pore. The 3.1-mile race started at COSI and went through downtown Columbus, past the Scioto Mile (designed by HAWA). HAWA4CAP managed to surpass its goal of raising $1,500 for the Arthritis Foundation. Congratulations to those who participated!
