HAWA’s Sean Brandon and Luke Harmon recently participated in the Pedal with Pete bike ride – a charity to fund research for improving the quality of life of those with cerebral palsy. Pedal with Pete was founded in Kent, Ohio, and is now based in Columbus, Ohio. The charity was founded in 1993 with the goal of raising one million dollars for cerebral palsy research; that goal was successfully reached in 2015 and continues to gain more funding and awareness. In 2020, the Foundation funded a grant administered by Nationwide Children’s Hospital, which aided Ohio families caring for individuals with cerebral palsy who were economically affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sean and Luke completed the 100-mile race in just over six hours. This event was Luke’s first-ever century ride (100-mile ride). Many thanks to the both of you for your participation in this great charity.

Pedal with Pete is an annual event; if you enjoy long-distance riding, consider participating in next year’s race!

If you would like to donate or learn more, you can do so at pedalwithpete.org.
