General Description

In 2010, Ohio University’s Radio-Television Communications Building (RTV) was partially renovated to add classrooms, offices and other space. During renovation, it was discovered that the fire alarm system was inoperable. To bring the building up to code, the old fire alarm system needed to be replaced by an updated one. The 2016 project schedule was very tight; the owner allowed approximately six months for the entire process, from the start of design through completion of installation and all required testing.

Our Role

HAWA Inc.’s engineers designed a new fire alarm system that met current code in this seven-story, non-sprinklered building, meeting the project’s challenging schedule for completion.
