CancerFree KIDS Fundraising Record

HAWA first began providing design services at Nationwide Children’s in 1981, in partnership with NBBJ. Since then, we have been the MEP design engineer of record for more than 12 new buildings, two central energy plants, countless renovation projects, totaling over 5 million square feet of the Hospital’s main campus. Shortly after the grand opening of the Research Building IV, HAWA began our tradition of fundraising for pediatric cancer research through CancerFree KIDS, having raised almost $28,000 in total. Last week, CancerFree KIDS presented a $650,000 check to research grant recipients at Nationwide Children’s Hospital‘s Research Building IV. This marks a record-setting fundraising year for CancerFree KIDS in Ohio. Our relationship with Nationwide Children’s only continues to deepen as we help fund life-saving research being conducted in the buildings we’ve designed.
