Project Update: SUN Behavioral Facility

Last month, HAWA participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the $40 million, 149,000-square-foot SUN Behavioral Health facility in Erlanger, KY. Partnering with St. Elizabeth Healthcare, SUN Behavioral Health seeks to provide a calming, comfortable hospital environment for patients struggling with mental illness and substance abuse disorders.

The design of the facility incorporated elements to enhance patient and staff wellness, including open spaces, natural light, outdoor recreational areas and other comforting features.

HAWA designed the HVAC, plumbing, power, lighting and telecom infrastructure systems for the facility. We congratulate our partners NK Architects, Woodbury Building Corporation, Danis Construction and Bayer Becker as well as St. Elizabeth Healthcare and SUN Behavioral Health on the completion of this significant project!
